Description
News of destruction spreads southward, and the Philistine cities tremble. Ashkelon is seized by fear, Gaza writhes in anguish as royal power fades, and Ekron’s hope withers. Ashdod is pictured as losing its old identity and pride, while the LORD purifies what is defiled, removing blood and forbidden food, leaving behind a remnant that will one day belong to God rather than stand against Him.
