Zechariah 8 (vv. 1-3)

The opening vision centers on the LORD’s intense jealousy for Zion and his promise to return and dwell in Jerusalem. The city is seen not merely as stone and walls but as a sanctified place being renamed the Faithful City and the Holy Mountain. God’s presence is not shown as a human figure, but as radiant glory descending over Jerusalem, signaling covenant love, holiness, and restoration.
