Zechariah 14 (vv. 3-5)

After the city’s anguish, the LORD goes forth to fight for Jerusalem. His presence is not shown as a human face but through overwhelming divine radiance descending upon the Mount of Olives. The mountain splits from east to west into a vast valley, and the people flee through it in terror and hope, while the holy ones accompany the divine coming.

도성의 고난 뒤에 여호와께서 예루살렘을 위해 싸우러 나아가신다. 하나님의 임재는 인간의 얼굴이 아니라 감람산 위에 임하는 압도적인 신적 광채로 표현된다. 산은 동서로 갈라져 거대한 골짜기가 생기고, 백성은 두려움과 희망 속에서 그 길로 도망한다. 거룩한 자들은 그 신적 강림을 함께 따른다.
