Zechariah 11 (vv. 1-3)

The chapter opens with a sweeping lament over the land. The mighty cedars of Lebanon are consumed by fire, the junipers and oaks mourn their fall, and the once-rich pastures are ruined. Shepherds cry out over their devastation, while lions roar from the shattered thickets of the Jordan. The whole natural world becomes a witness to divine judgment and national collapse.

이 장은 땅을 향한 광대한 애가로 시작된다. 레바논의 장엄한 백향목들이 불에 삼켜지고, 잣나무와 바산의 상수리나무들이 그 몰락을 슬퍼한다. 한때 풍성하던 목초지는 황폐해지고, 목자들은 그 파괴를 보고 통곡한다. 요단의 무성한 수풀은 무너지고, 사자들의 울부짖음이 들린다. 자연 전체가 하나님의 심판과 민족적 붕괴의 증인이 된다.
