Ruth 3 (vv. 6-7)

Ruth obeys Naomi and goes down to the threshing floor after Boaz has finished eating and drinking. At the far end of the grain pile, Boaz lies down for the night, unaware of her presence. In the stillness of the night, Ruth approaches quietly, uncovers his feet, and lies down there in a posture of humility and trust.

룻은 나오미의 말에 순종하여 보아스가 먹고 마친 뒤 타작마당으로 내려간다. 곡식 더미 끝자락에서 보아스는 그녀의 존재를 모른 채 잠자리에 든다. 밤의 고요함 속에서 룻은 조용히 다가가 그의 발을 드러내고 그 곁에 눕는데, 이는 겸손과 신뢰의 자세를 보여 준다.
