Romans 8 (vv. 31-39)

The final vision is one of unshakable triumph in the midst of trial. Believers stand surrounded by symbols of hardship—storm, sword, hunger, danger, darkness—yet none can break the bond of Christ’s love. Above and beyond every threatening power, radiant light signifies the risen Christ’s advocacy and the certainty that no force in all creation can separate God’s people from his love.

마지막 환상은 시련 한가운데서도 흔들리지 않는 승리의 모습이다. 신자들은 폭풍, 칼, 굶주림, 위험, 어둠 같은 고난의 상징들에 둘러싸여 서 있지만, 그 어떤 것도 그리스도의 사랑의 결속을 끊을 수 없다. 모든 위협하는 권세 위와 너머에서 비추는 찬란한 빛은 부활하신 그리스도의 변호와, 온 창조 가운데 어떤 힘도 하나님의 백성을 그 사랑에서 끊어 놓을 수 없다는 확실성을 나타낸다.
