Romans 4 (vv. 18-25)

Abraham faces the reality of old age and Sarah’s barrenness, yet he remains fully persuaded that God can bring life where there is none. Paul then extends this faith to believers in the God who raised Jesus from the dead, so the scene joins Abraham’s impossible hope with the dawn of resurrection, showing faith fixed on the life-giving power of God.
