Romans 3 (vv. 1-4)

Paul begins by acknowledging the real privilege of the Jewish people: they were entrusted with the very words of God. The scene should show a learned Jewish scribe or teacher carefully holding sacred scrolls while others listen, emphasizing reverence, covenant identity, and the weight of divine revelation. Yet the moment also carries tension, because human unfaithfulness stands in contrast to God’s unwavering truth and faithfulness.
