Romans 2 (vv. 25-29)

The final scene shifts from external marks to inward transformation. One figure stands with outward signs of covenant identity and religious status, yet appears spiritually empty; beside him stands another, humble and perhaps socially unexpected, whose illuminated heart symbolizes true obedience and the Spirit's work. Human praise fades into the background, while a gentle heavenly light rests on the inwardly faithful person, showing that true Jewishness and true covenant identity are matters of the heart before God.

마지막 장면은 외적인 표지에서 내적인 변화로 시선을 옮긴다. 한 인물은 언약 백성의 외적 표지와 종교적 지위를 지니고 서 있지만 영적으로는 공허해 보인다. 그 곁에는 겸손하고 어쩌면 사회적으로 예상 밖의 또 다른 인물이 서 있는데, 그의 빛나는 마음은 참된 순종과 성령의 역사를 상징한다. 사람들의 칭찬은 배경으로 사라지고, 부드러운 하늘의 빛이 내적으로 신실한 사람 위에 머물러 참된 유대인 됨과 참된 언약의 정체성이 하나님 앞에서 마음의 문제임을 보여 준다.
