Romans 11 (vv. 25-32)

Paul unveils a mystery: Israel’s hardening is partial and temporary until the full number of the Gentiles comes in, and God’s covenant mercy will yet reach Israel. The scene should convey a vast unfolding plan in which disobedience, mercy, covenant, and restoration are woven together under God’s faithful purpose.

바울은 한 신비를 드러낸다. 이스라엘의 완고함은 부분적이며 일시적이고, 이방인의 충만한 수가 들어오기까지 계속된다. 그리고 하나님의 언약의 자비는 마침내 이스라엘에도 미친다. 이 장면은 불순종과 자비와 언약과 회복이 하나님의 신실한 뜻 아래 거대한 계획으로 엮여 가는 모습을 담아야 한다.
