Romans 11 (vv. 1-6)

Paul recalls Elijah’s despair when he believed he was the only faithful one left in Israel. In contrast to Elijah’s loneliness, God’s answer reveals that seven thousand have been preserved who have not bowed to Baal, illustrating that God has not rejected his people and that a remnant remains by grace.
