Description
With the fourth trumpet, a third of the sun, moon, and stars are darkened, and the rhythms of day and night are partially dimmed. In this unnatural twilight, an eagle flies across the sky crying out, “Woe, woe, woe” to the inhabitants of the earth because of the judgments yet to come. The scene closes not with relief, but with deepening dread, as creation itself becomes a sign of warning.
