Revelation 3 (vv. 7-10)

To the church in Philadelphia, Christ reveals himself as the holy and true one who holds the key of David. Before a small and seemingly weak congregation, an open door is set that no one can shut. Though opposed by false claimants and facing future trial, the church is shown as beloved, preserved, and honored because it kept Christ’s word with patient endurance.

빌라델비아 교회에게 그리스도는 다윗의 열쇠를 가지신 거룩하고 참되신 분으로 자신을 나타내신다. 작고 연약해 보이는 공동체 앞에 아무도 닫을 수 없는 열린 문이 놓여 있다. 거짓된 자들의 반대와 장차 올 시험이 있지만, 이 교회는 그리스도의 말씀을 지키고 인내로 견뎠기 때문에 사랑받고 보호받으며 존귀하게 된다.
