Revelation 18 (vv. 9-10)

The kings of the earth, who shared Babylon's luxury and corruption, stand far away in terror as they watch the smoke of her destruction rise. They lament the fall of the mighty city, stunned that such power and splendor could collapse so suddenly. Their distance shows both fear and helplessness before divine judgment.

바벨론의 사치와 타락을 함께 누리던 세상의 왕들이 두려움에 사로잡혀 멀리 떨어져 선 채, 그 멸망의 연기가 치솟는 모습을 바라본다. 그들은 그렇게 강하고 화려하던 큰 성이 순식간에 무너진 것을 보고 애통한다. 멀찍이 서 있는 모습은 하나님의 심판 앞에서 그들이 느끼는 공포와 무력함을 드러낸다.
