Description
John takes the little scroll and eats it. At first it is sweet as honey in his mouth, but soon bitterness rises within him, embodying the paradox of prophetic revelation: delightful because it comes from God, painful because it carries judgment and burden. He is then told that he must prophesy again concerning many peoples, nations, languages, and kings, sending him back into his calling with renewed urgency.
