Psalm 99 (vv. 1-3)

The psalm opens with a cosmic vision of the LORD reigning in majesty. His presence is centered in Zion, symbolized by the ark and the space between the cherubim, while the nations tremble and the earth seems to shake beneath his authority. The scene combines heavenly holiness and earthly fear: Jerusalem stands below, the peoples of the world are humbled, and all are summoned to praise his great and awesome name.
