Psalm 98 (vv. 7-8)

The poem turns from human worship to cosmic praise. The sea roars with life, the world and its inhabitants are drawn into the song, rivers are imagined as clapping their hands, and mountains sing together for joy. Nature is personified as a living choir, so that all creation becomes a vast sanctuary responding to the presence of the LORD.

시편은 인간의 예배에서 우주적인 찬양으로 시선을 돌린다. 바다는 생명으로 가득 차 울려 퍼지고, 세상과 그 안에 사는 모든 존재가 노래에 참여하며, 강들은 손뼉 치는 것처럼 표현되고, 산들은 함께 기뻐 노래한다. 자연은 살아 있는 합창단처럼 의인화되어, 온 창조 세계가 여호와의 임재에 응답하는 거대한 성소가 된다.
