Psalm 83 (vv. 13-18)

The final movement asks that the enemies be driven like tumbleweed and chaff before the wind, pursued by tempest, fire, and storm until they are humbled and know the LORD as the Most High over all the earth. The scene shows a vast wilderness and mountain forest under a sweeping divine storm: chaff and dry brush whirl through the air, fire races along a ridge, and enemy ranks are scattered in fear beneath overwhelming skies.
