Psalm 80 (vv. 12-16)

The once-protected vine is now exposed because its walls have been broken down. Passersby pluck its fruit, a wild boar ravages it, and the vineyard shows signs of burning and ruin. The psalmist pleads for God to look down from heaven, see the devastation, and watch over the vine his own hand planted.

한때 보호받던 포도나무는 이제 담이 허물어져 완전히 노출되어 있다. 지나가는 자들이 열매를 따 가고, 들의 멧돼지가 그것을 헤치며, 포도원은 불탄 흔적과 황폐함을 드러낸다. 시인은 하나님께서 하늘에서 굽어보시고 이 참상을 살피시며, 친히 심으신 포도나무를 다시 돌보아 주시기를 간구한다.
