Psalm 69 (vv. 1-3)

The psalm opens with David-like desperation as the speaker struggles in rising floodwaters and sinking mud, unable to find solid ground. His throat is dry from crying out, and his eyes are exhausted from searching for God, creating a vivid image of physical danger joined to spiritual exhaustion.

시편은 다윗과 같은 절박함으로 시작된다. 시인은 점점 불어나는 물속에서 허우적거리며 진흙에 빠져 단단한 발판을 찾지 못한다. 부르짖느라 목은 말랐고 하나님을 기다리느라 눈은 쇠약해져, 육체적 위기와 영적 탈진이 함께 드러나는 강렬한 장면을 이룬다.
