Psalm 50 (vv. 1-3)

The psalm opens with a majestic vision of the Mighty One calling the whole earth as witness, from sunrise to sunset. From Zion, described as perfect in beauty, the divine presence breaks forth in radiant glory. God does not appear in human form; instead, his coming is shown through blazing fire in front, storm clouds swirling around, and a vast sense of cosmic authority filling the land.
