Psalm 38 (vv. 4-8)

David is bowed low under a burden too heavy to bear. His body is weakened, his wounds symbolize the corruption of sin, and he moves through the day in mourning, bent and exhausted. This scene should capture the physicality of lament: stooped posture, labored breathing, and the sense that both body and soul are collapsing beneath grief and guilt.
