Psalm 36 (vv. 5-6)

The psalm suddenly lifts from human corruption to the immeasurable character of God. The Lord's steadfast love rises beyond the horizon into the heavens, his faithfulness spanning the sky. His righteousness stands firm like towering mountains, and his justice stretches deep and mysterious like the great sea. Human beings and animals alike are shown under his preserving care, revealing a world sustained by divine order and mercy.

시편은 인간의 부패에서 하나님의 헤아릴 수 없는 성품으로 갑자기 시선을 들어 올린다. 여호와의 인자하심은 지평선을 넘어 하늘에까지 이르고, 그의 성실하심은 하늘을 가득 채운다. 그의 의는 우뚝 솟은 산들처럼 견고하고, 그의 공의는 크고 깊은 바다처럼 신비롭고 넓다. 사람과 짐승이 모두 그의 보존하심 아래 있는 모습은 세상이 하나님의 질서와 자비로 유지되고 있음을 드러낸다.
