Psalm 31 (vv. 1-3)

David stands in urgent prayer before a massive rock fortress rising from the Judean wilderness. Surrounded by barren hills and the threat of shame and danger, he lifts his face toward heaven and pleads for rescue. The imagery of God as both rock and fortress becomes tangible: the stronghold towers above him as a sign of divine protection, while a path ahead suggests that the Lord will lead and guide him for the sake of His name.

다윗은 유다 광야에 솟아오른 거대한 반석 요새 앞에서 다급히 기도하며 서 있다. 메마른 언덕들과 수치와 위험의 위협에 둘러싸인 채 그는 얼굴을 하늘로 들고 구원을 간구한다. 하나님이 반석이시며 요새이시라는 시편의 비유가 눈에 보이듯 드러난다. 견고한 성채는 하나님의 보호를 상징하고, 그 앞에 이어진 길은 주께서 자신의 이름을 위하여 다윗을 인도하시고 이끄실 것을 암시한다.
