Psalm 28 (vv. 3-5)

The psalm contrasts David's sincerity with the duplicity of the wicked. A group of men greet their neighbors with outward peace, yet their faces and gestures hint at concealed malice. Their disregard for the works of the LORD and the justice of His hands foreshadows their downfall, shown through crumbling walls and a darkening sky rather than direct violence.
