Psalm 127 (vv. 1)

Builders work intensely on a stone house rising on a hillside, lifting beams and shaping blocks with determination. Yet the scene makes clear that human effort alone is not enough: unfinished walls, scattered tools, and weary faces suggest futility. Above the house, a shaft of radiant light breaking through the clouds symbolizes the LORD’s true blessing and authority, showing that only what God establishes can stand.

언덕 위에 세워지는 돌집에서 건축자들이 들보를 들어 올리고 돌을 다듬으며 분주히 일하고 있다. 그러나 이 장면은 인간의 노력만으로는 충분하지 않음을 분명히 보여 준다. 미완성된 벽, 흩어진 연장들, 지친 얼굴들은 헛된 수고를 암시한다. 집 위로 구름 사이를 뚫고 내려오는 찬란한 빛줄기는 여호와의 참된 복과 주권을 상징하며, 하나님께서 세우시는 것만이 굳게 선다는 사실을 드러낸다.
