Psalm 113 (vv. 4-6)

The Lord is portrayed as exalted over all nations, his glory extending above the heavens. Though enthroned on high, he stoops down to look upon heaven and earth. The scene should convey both transcendence and nearness: the immeasurable majesty of God and the surprising humility of his attention to the world below.

여호와께서 모든 민족 위에 높임을 받으시며 그의 영광이 하늘 위에까지 미치는 모습이 묘사된다. 그는 지극히 높은 곳에 앉아 계시지만, 하늘과 땅을 굽어보신다. 이 장면은 하나님의 헤아릴 수 없는 위엄과 동시에 세상을 향해 몸을 낮추시는 놀라운 가까우심을 함께 보여 주어야 한다.
