Description
The psalm turns from cosmic ordering to God's tender provision within the land. Springs flow through ravines between mountains, wild donkeys drink, birds nest in branches, and the mountains are watered from above. Grass grows for cattle, cultivated plants yield bread, wine, and oil for people, and the cedars of Lebanon stand full and strong, sheltering storks and other birds. Even the high crags are inhabited by wild goats and hyraxes, showing every creature has its appointed home.
