Proverbs 25 (vv. 1-3)

In the royal court of Judah, scribes working under King Hezekiah carefully copy and compile the proverbs of Solomon onto scrolls. Behind them, the grandeur of the palace suggests earthly authority, while above and beyond, vast heavens and deep earth symbolize the unreachable mysteries known fully only to God. The scene captures both the human glory of searching out wisdom and the divine glory of concealing profound matters, with the king’s heart remaining mysterious and unreadable.
