Proverbs 15 (vv. 25-33)

The final scene gathers the chapter’s climax into one visual contrast. A proud house with high walls is shown partly broken and collapsing, while nearby a widow stands beside restored boundary stones on her small piece of land, protected and upheld. In the foreground, a righteous person pauses before speaking, listening to correction from wise elders, then bows their head in humility as light falls across their face. The image closes the chapter with the truth that the LORD opposes pride, hears the righteous, and leads the teachable toward wisdom and honor.

마지막 장면은 이 장의 절정을 하나의 대비 속에 모아 보여 준다. 높은 담으로 둘러싸인 교만한 집은 일부가 무너져 내리고 있고, 그 가까이에서는 한 과부가 자기 작은 땅의 경계석이 다시 세워진 곁에 서서 보호받고 붙들림을 얻고 있다. 전경에서는 의로운 사람이 말하기 전에 잠시 멈추어 지혜로운 장로들의 교훈을 듣고, 이어 겸손히 머리를 숙이자 그 얼굴 위로 빛이 비친다. 이 장면은 여호와께서 교만을 대적하시고 의인의 기도를 들으시며, 가르침을 받는 자를 지혜와 존귀로 이끄신다는 사실로 장을 마무리한다.
