Proverbs 12 (vv. 13-19)

At the center of a village gathering, speech becomes visible through its effects. One reckless speaker gestures harshly, and his words are symbolized like sharp blades in the air, causing distress and division among listeners. Opposite him, a wise and honest speaker leans toward the troubled, offering calm truth that brings relief, reconciliation, and healing. The scene presents the power of the tongue: deceit traps the wicked, but truthful and wise words endure and restore life.
