Proverbs 10 (vv. 24-25)

A violent desert storm passes across the land, revealing two destinies. On one side, the wicked are shown in panic, their shelters flimsy and collapsing under wind and dust, their fears overtaking them. On the other side, a righteous figure stands firm upon solid rock, cloak whipping in the storm yet body unshaken. The image dramatizes the proverb's claim that what the wicked dread will come upon them, but the righteous endure when the storm has passed. The emphasis is on moral permanence versus sudden disappearance.

거센 광야의 폭풍이 땅을 가로지르며 두 가지 운명을 드러낸다. 한쪽에서는 악인들이 두려움에 사로잡혀 있고, 그들의 허술한 피난처는 바람과 먼지 속에서 무너져 내리며 그들이 두려워하던 일이 그들을 덮친다. 다른 한쪽에서는 의로운 사람이 견고한 바위 위에 서 있는데, 옷자락은 폭풍에 휘날리지만 몸은 흔들리지 않는다. 이 장면은 악인이 두려워하던 것이 그들에게 임하고, 폭풍이 지나간 뒤에도 의인은 굳게 선다는 잠언의 선언을 극적으로 보여 준다. 핵심은 갑작스러운 소멸과 도덕적 영속성의 대비이다.
