Description
At the dedication of the altar, Nahshon son of Amminadab, leader of Judah, brings the first offering. Before the altar are displayed a silver plate, a silver sprinkling bowl filled with fine flour and oil, a gold dish of incense, and the animals appointed for burnt, sin, and fellowship offerings. The scene captures the dignity of ordered worship and the beginning of twelve days of repeated devotion by the tribes.
