Description
The duties of the other Levite clans are assigned with equal care. The Gershonites are responsible for curtains, coverings, entrance screens, ropes, and courtyard hangings, while the Merarites carry the heavy structural parts: frames, crossbars, posts, bases, pegs, and cords. Under the oversight of Aaron’s sons, each man receives a specific task, turning the dismantling of the tabernacle into a coordinated sacred labor force.
