Numbers 33 (vv. 37-39)

At the LORD’s command, Aaron the priest goes up Mount Hor on the border of Edom, where he dies in the fortieth year after the exodus. This is one of the chapter’s most solemn moments, marking the passing of a generation and the nearing end of the wilderness era. The scene should convey dignity, grief, and sacred transition rather than spectacle.
