Numbers 33 (vv. 5-8)

After several stages of travel, the Israelites leave Pi Hahiroth and pass through the sea into the desert. The scene marks a dramatic threshold between bondage and wilderness dependence. The people move forward through an impossible path, leaving behind the world they knew and entering a barren land where only God’s guidance can sustain them.

여러 여정을 거친 뒤, 이스라엘 백성은 비하히롯을 떠나 바다를 지나 광야로 들어간다. 이 장면은 종살이에서 벗어나 광야의 의존으로 들어가는 극적인 경계선을 보여 준다. 백성은 불가능해 보이는 길을 따라 전진하며, 익숙했던 세상을 뒤로하고 오직 하나님의 인도만이 그들을 붙드실 수 있는 메마른 땅으로 들어간다.
