Numbers 29 (vv. 7-11)

On the tenth day of the seventh month, the people gather again in sacred assembly, denying themselves and doing no work. The mood is quieter and heavier than the trumpet feast: heads are bowed, bodies are still, and the camp seems hushed in repentance. At the altar, the required offerings are brought forward for atonement—a young bull, a ram, seven lambs, and a male goat—together with grain and drink offerings. The visual focus is not spectacle but humility, as Israel stands in need of cleansing before the holy presence of the LORD.
