Numbers 25 (vv. 1-3)

In the plains of Shittim, Israelite men are drawn into intimate feasting and pagan worship with Moabite women. What begins as shared meals and invitation turns into open participation in sacrifices and bowing before Baal of Peor. The scene captures the spiritual collapse of the camp: covenant people mingling with foreign ritual, their loyalty divided as the shadow of divine anger gathers over them.

싯딤 평지에서 이스라엘 남자들은 모압 여인들과 함께 친밀한 잔치와 이방 예배에 끌려 들어간다. 함께 음식을 먹고 초대를 받는 일로 시작된 것이 결국 제사에 참여하고 브올의 바알 앞에 절하는 노골적인 우상숭배로 이어진다. 이 장면은 언약 백성이 이방 의식과 뒤섞이며 충성이 갈라지고, 그들 위로 하나님의 진노의 그림자가 드리우는 영적 붕괴를 보여 준다.
