Numbers 24 (vv. 20-25)

Balaam continues with solemn prophecies over Amalek, the Kenites, Ashur, Eber, and distant seafaring powers, announcing that even secure nations will face ruin under God’s purposes. The tone is heavy with inevitability and the fragility of human strength. At the end, Balaam rises and returns home while Balak goes his own way, the two men separating under the shadow of unchangeable divine judgment.

발람은 아말렉과 겐 사람들, 앗수르와 에벨, 그리고 먼 바다의 세력들에 대한 엄숙한 예언을 계속하며, 안전해 보이는 나라들조차 하나님의 뜻 아래 무너질 것이라고 선포한다. 장면 전체에는 피할 수 없는 운명과 인간 권세의 덧없음이 짙게 드리워져 있다. 마침내 발람은 일어나 자기 길로 돌아가고, 발락도 자기 길로 가며, 두 사람은 바꿀 수 없는 신적 심판의 그림자 아래 갈라선다.
