Description
Balak comes out to meet Balaam at the border and questions his delay, but Balaam warns that he can only speak what God gives him. After sacrifices of cattle and sheep, Balak takes Balaam up to Bamoth Baal, where from the height they can see the far edge of Israel’s camp. The scene sets the stage for a confrontation between royal ambition and divine blessing.
