Description
As the people travel around Edom, they grow impatient and speak against God and Moses, despising the food and the hardship of the wilderness. Venomous snakes spread through the camp, bringing death and fear, and the people repent, asking Moses to pray for them. At the LORD’s command, Moses raises a bronze serpent on a pole, and the afflicted look up in faith and live, turning a scene of judgment into one of mercy and healing.
