Description
Joshua and Caleb, two of the spies, tear their garments in anguish and step forward before the assembly. With urgent conviction they proclaim that the land is exceedingly good, that the LORD is with Israel, and that the people must not rebel or fear. Yet their courageous appeal is met with hostility as the crowd begins to talk of stoning them, making this a scene of lonely faith standing against a furious multitude.
