Description
In response to Moses’ plea, seventy elders gather around the tent of meeting. The LORD descends in the cloud, and the Spirit that had rested on Moses is shared with them so they may help carry the people’s burden. The elders begin to prophesy, and the moment becomes one of sacred transfer, communal leadership, and visible divine presence without any human image of God.
