Description
After studying the Law more closely, the leaders and people discover the command to celebrate the Festival of Booths. They gather branches from the hill country and build temporary shelters on rooftops, in courtyards, at the temple courts, and in the squares by the Water Gate and the Gate of Ephraim. The returned exiles dwell in these booths with very great joy, while Ezra continues reading the Law day after day, showing a community restored through obedience, remembrance, and celebration.
