Micah 6 (vv. 13-16)

The final scene shows the consequences of sin through images of futility rather than explicit destruction. Fields stand planted but barren in effect, olives are crushed yet oil does not fill the jars, and grapes are trodden though no wine brings joy. A family or group of laborers looks worn and hollow, surrounded by the remains of labor that yields no blessing. The land feels emptied under a dim sky, expressing ruin, disgrace, and the bitter outcome of following the ways of Omri and Ahab.

마지막 장면은 노골적인 파괴가 아니라 헛됨의 이미지로 죄의 결과를 보여 준다. 밭은 심겨 있으나 열매의 기쁨이 없고, 올리브는 찧어졌지만 항아리에 기름이 차지 않으며, 포도는 밟혔지만 포도주가 기쁨을 주지 못한다. 한 가족 혹은 일꾼들의 무리가 지치고 공허한 모습으로 서 있고, 그들 주변에는 축복으로 이어지지 못한 수고의 흔적만 남아 있다. 어두운 하늘 아래 땅은 비어 있는 듯 느껴지며, 오므리와 아합의 길을 따른 결과인 황폐와 수치가 깊이 배어 있다.
