Description
At the moment of Jesus’ death, the temple curtain is torn from top to bottom, the earth shakes, and even hardened soldiers are filled with fear, confessing that he was truly the Son of God. As evening falls, Joseph of Arimathea reverently wraps Jesus’ body and lays it in a new rock-cut tomb while faithful women watch from a distance. The chapter closes with the stone sealed and guards posted, as human authorities try to secure what divine purpose is about to overturn.
