Description
Jesus is brought before Caiaphas and the assembled council, where false witnesses speak against him and the high priest condemns him after his solemn declaration. Outside in the courtyard, Peter follows at a distance but denies three times that he knows Jesus; when the rooster crows, he remembers the warning and goes out to weep bitterly.
