Matthew 24 (vv. 1-2)

Jesus walks away from the temple complex as his disciples gesture toward its magnificent buildings, admiring their grandeur. In contrast to their wonder, Jesus solemnly declares that not one stone will be left upon another, transforming a moment of admiration into a shocking prophecy of judgment and impermanence.
