Description
When Herod realizes he has been outwitted, his rage brings sorrow upon Bethlehem, fulfilling the prophecy of weeping and mourning. After Herod’s death, Joseph receives another dream in Egypt telling him to return to Israel. Warned again because of Archelaus, he withdraws to Galilee and settles in Nazareth, where the child will grow in quiet obscurity under God’s providence.
