Description
Disturbed by the Magi’s report, Herod gathers the chief priests and teachers of the law to ask where the Messiah is to be born. They answer from prophecy that Bethlehem in Judea is the appointed place. Herod then secretly summons the Magi, learns when the star first appeared, and deceptively sends them to search for the child under the pretense of worship.
